The Ag. CEO of WASAC Mrs. Gisele Umuhumuza accompanied by the Director of Urban Water Distribution, the Director of Water Distribution in Rural Areas, and the District Director of Project visited the MATA and NYABIMATA water industry in order to monitor their performance and develop their management systems with WASAC to improve water services in the southern province especially in areas of Huye and Gisagara district.
The group also visited areas that have frequent problems with the pipelines, mainly caused by rain disasters in order to work together to find a way to solve these problems and have a long sustainable solution.
Mata water plant has the capacity to process up to 600 m3 of water per day while NYABIMATA has a capacity of 1,800 m3 of water per day.
